Connecting your mp3 player to your computer
Connect one end of the USB cable to your computer’s USB Port. Then connect the smaller end of the USB cable to your MP3 players USB Port. Turn the unit on. In MS Windows a new icon will appear in “My Computer”. “Removable Disk” will appear in my computer. Windows recognizes it as a removable disk.
Transferring Files and Folders
1. Find files or folders you wish to transfer.
2. Select and highlight
3. Use Copy command
4. Go to “My Computer”
5. Locate and open “Removable Disk”
6. Once opened, paste file to “Removable Disk” folder.

My son got a Delstar DS1703 for Christmas from Santa and lost the usb cord that goes with it. How do we get a new one so that he can use the player?
ANSWER:
The USB cable is standard. Bring the unit to any electronics store (Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, etc.) and they will be able to match up the correct cable.
My mp3 player says starting on it and that is all it will do, it will not do anything esle, what could be wrong with it, please help.

We got this MP3 player around Christmas (1703) and it appears to need a firmware update from my previous experience with these types of players. Is there a firmware update available? The problem is that it will start playing a song and then start over or it will completely stop even though it’s fully charged.

i got the 1705 for Christmas and am able to operate the voice recorder and play it but when i copy and paste the music files it will show the song title and artist as well as the time but when i press play “Format error!” comes up for Windows Media player files and itunes music files will transfer but do not show up at all on the mp3. any advice?

navigate to “Computer” or “MY Computer” via Windows Start Button
open the “removable disk” (usually shown as E: or F: drive)
open the “Music” subfolder
select (highlight) the files you wish to delete
hit the “delete” key or right click your mouse on selected files and choose “delete”

i hit my mp2 player on accident on the screen, and where i hit it with my fingernail turned orange, and its very annoying because #1 its annoying #2 i cant watch any videos because the orange spot is there!!! and #3 i cant read the words where the orange spot is.

These units use an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Once they are slightly cracked or “bruised”, the display screen cannot be repaired.

I just received 2 1703 from Tiger Direct.
Neither of the works. One keeps restarting the other one runs as long as its hooked up to the USB. Should I send these back to Tiger or bring them to you. I’m in Plantation Fl.

I almost love this player. It is like the Shuffle but with an interface. It is like the Sanza clip but with folder support. Great pluses!
The main problem I have is that when on PAUSE the auto shut off happens very quickly. Set to maximum it still seems to shut off within one minute or so. It should at the very least have a 5 minute pause before shutting down.
Otherwise it’s a great little player!
Can I fix this Mp3 if it was put into the washer machine by accident?
